Narrative Text of THE NUTCRACKER

THE NUTCRACKER

Generic Structure

Once there was a little girl named clara whose family having a wonderful party on christmas eve. Clara ran back and froth to the front door to welcome the guests. The last to arrive was clara’s godfather, her Dorsselmeyer. All the children loved him very much because he was such a wonderful storyteller. And then Dorsselmeyer gave nutcracker to clara’s. (Orientation)

Clara carried her nutcracker over to where her cousins and friends were all playing with their new dolls. All of a sudden clara’s little brother, fritz, jumped up from behind the sofa and grabbed the nutcracker away from his sister. Clara’s so sadly because the nutcracker crashed to floor and broke. (Complication)

Suddenly Dorsselmeyer came and said to clara, “this will be his bandage and you will be his nurse. He wiped her tears away and handed the nutcracker back to her. Clara was a very good little nurse, then she curled up on the sofa and fell a sleep with the nutcracker in the arms. (Resolution)

While clara was sleeping the nutcracker changed into a handsome prince. Later that night clara woke up, she saw her nutcracker, who was now handsome prince. He has bravely fighting a mouse that was wearing a crown on its head. Clara’s jumped off the sofa and pulled the mouses long tail. The mouse became so frightened that it ran away, with all the other mice squeaking after it. (Complication)

The prince was very thankful for clara’s help.The prince would like to invite clara to the land of sweets. The prince placed the crown up on clara’s head and her night gown became a beautiful dress. When the prince and clara arrived, he told his friends all about the battle with the huge mice and how clara’s had saved him. Then they carried clara and the prince over to two beautiful candy-cane chairs. The people of the land of sweets performed beautiful dance for clara’s and the prince. Clara’s favorite dancer was mother ginger, she wore a big wide skirt and under neath it were six little childrens. (Resolution)

When all the dancers were finished, clara and the orince stopped and clapped. The prince said “I think it is time for us to go, but wel will come back to the land of sweets every christmas eve frow now on.” And then he called for his sleigh.which was drawn by two reindeer. After waving good bye to their friends, clara and the prince flew off together into the early morning sky, home to a very merry christmas. (Re-orientation)

Moral Value

• All of a sudden clara’s little brother, fritz, jumped up from behind the sofa and grabbed the nutcracker away from his sister. 
• If you make a promise to someone you must do it 
• Clara was a very good little nurse, then she curled up on the sofa and fell a sleep with the nutcracker in the arms. 
• Always friendly when we greet guests
